2024 Season
Our fourteenth season offer baroque masterpieces featuring an impressive roster of internationally renowned performers in their Haymarket debuts, as well as the returns of critically acclaimed and award-winning favorites.
The season opens with an unknown curiosity–Maria Margherita Grimani’s La decollazione di San Giovanni Battista–in its first known performance anywhere since the 18th century. The season continues with two of George Frideric Handel’s finest works: in June, his concert spectacle La Resurrezione, and in September, the Chicago premiere of Handel’s emotionally intense opera Tamerlano, celebrating the 300th anniversary of its 1724 premiere.
